Coconut Fiber (Coir)

The husks are the thick, fibrous outer shells surrounding the coconut. Using high-tech machines they are crushed and soaked in water. We carefully monitor to prevent damage made to fibers. Then the husks are mechanically processed to separate the fibers from the rest of the husk. After this process, the fibers are cleaned to remove any remaining husk particles or impurities. This may involve washing and rinsing the fibers. Then they are dried naturally in the sun to achieve the desired moisture content and supplied based on orders.
